Moses W. Ngware
Ngware is a Senior Research Scientist and Head of the Education and Youth Empowerment research unit at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC). Ngware holds a PhD in Economics of Education from Egerton University, Kenya. He designs and conducts policy-relevant research in education and youth empowerment. He currently focuses on education and skill training systems in sub-Saharan Africa and the effectiveness of education interventions.
With more than 20 years of research experience, he has conducted more than 18 impact evaluations, longitudinal studies, and surveys in sub-Saharan Africa that have informed education and training policies. His current research work is on what is happening inside the classroom, the impact evaluation of education interventions to improve learning outcomes, and the efficiency and effectiveness of education and training systems. From his research background and training, he has a wealth of experience with experimental and quasi-experimental research designs, quantitative research methods, and classroom/teaching observations.
