The Center’s Data, Measurement and Evaluation (DME) Unit provides data quality control and data quality assurance, statistical and econometric analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and economic valuation (cost-effectiveness analysis and cost-benefit analysis) of interventions and research studies in African countries. With over 20 full-time staff with expertise in varied related fields: Data Management & Analysis, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Software Development, and Health Economics— the DME Unit has extensive experience in the design and roll-out of an array of evaluation and research studies, such as Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT) and quasi-experimental designs, among others. Using the state-of-the-art techniques in research, and innovative analytical methods, the DME Unit generates strong research evidence that serves as a formidable foundation to inform policy, accelerates poverty alleviation efforts, economic growth and shared prosperity in Africa.
