ABOUT Cynthia Runyenje

Cynthia coordinates and conducts corporate monitoring and evaluation for the Center. This includes leading routine monitoring activities to track and assess the progress of the core corporate indicators. Through her technical expertise, she ensures appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems and live tools are in place and functional for cohesive data collection, analysis, synthesis, and reporting. The center-wide strategic performance information gathered is shared with senior management for evidence-informed decision making. She also supports units and programs through various M&E requests.

Cynthia holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) – Institute of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She has previously worked with the Ministry of Health in Kenya and the Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK).

Her interests revolve around healthcare systems research, public health, and results-based M&E systems. Cynthia is also currently part of the Measurement and Impact evaluation program that seeks to strengthen the Center’s capacity on impact evaluation methodologies.
