Political Economy and Value for Money Analysis of HIV Preventive and Care Services in Kenya (EJAF)
Project Period
January 2025 - June 2025
The EJAF portfolio in Kenya has three main strategic actions that aim to 1) increase prioritization of preventive care using data on impact and cost-effectiveness, 2) increase prioritization of integrated community-based care using data on impact and cost-effectiveness, and 3) ease patient access to preventive care. This technical assistance proposal provides evidence on the broader context of actors, processes, key moments, institutions, and incentives for translating the transformative plans into precise actions and assessing the contribution of the EJAF transformative plan to change. This project focuses on two components of the research and evaluation, including
- Formative phase evaluation: Political economy analysis/landscape analysis
- Implementation phase evaluation: Value for Money (VfM)/Costing analysis
The work involves conducting a desk review, analyzing secondary data, and conducting qualitative interviews with key stakeholders.
