Salma Nanjira Musa-Mkanga
Salma is a research officer with Data Science and Evaluations (DSE) and currently supports the Neuroimaging project in Nairobi County under Early Childhood Development (ECD), Human Development Theme (HDT). She coordinates the Jubilee Education Fund (JEF), which targets vulnerable children from various informal settlements in Nairobi.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies, specializing in Community Development from St. Paul’s University. Salma is passionate about working with the community and do coordinated meetings with key stakeholders within the informal settlements .Before joining APHRC, Salma worked as a research assistant at the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) and the Population Council among others. She worked in the Nairobi Urban Health Demographic Surveillance System (NUHDSS) where she served in different capacities.
