ABOUT Ongala Maurice

Maurice is a Communications Manager within the Synergy Unit of APHRC’s Policy and Engagement (PEC) program. In this role, he offers strategic leadership and mentorship to the research communications team, which is domiciled within the Synergy Unit. Specifically, he ensures excellence in developing and implementing incisive and functional communication and knowledge translation strategies for the Center’s research projects. Maurice also manages consultants and generally supervises research communications officers at APHRC.

Maurice holds a Master of Arts degree in Development Communications from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with Information Technology from Maseno University, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), United Kingdom. He is pursuing his PhD in Business and Management (Strategic Management) at Strathmore Business School, Strathmore University. Previously, Maurice worked for the consultancy wing of Miresi Group as Team Lead of the Research and Development Communications Unit.
