Education and Youth Empowerment(EYE) and Human Development

  • November 2025

This report synthesizes insights from four case studies conducted under the Pedagogies of Inclusion project, which explored gender, pedagogy, and STEM education in Sub-Saharan Africa. The cases—Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE), Open University of Tanzania (OUT), Women’s University in Africa (WUA), and KCA University—highlight diverse strategies for addressing gender inequities in STEM through inclusive pedagogical and institutional approaches.

Despite varying contexts, all four cases emphasize the importance of leadership, relevance, and systemic support in advancing gender-responsive teaching and learning.
