Lucy Wakiaga
Her research interests are in school leadership, teacher training, women and educational leadership and higher education administration.
She is currently working on the Pedagogy, STEM and Gender, and the Teacher Professional Development projects. She holds an Ed.D. degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Howard University, an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Howard University, and a Bachelor of Education, Arts (History and Geography) from Moi University.
Prior to joining APHRC, Lucy was a Senior Lecturer at the Center for Leadership and Management, and the Director of Quality Assurance, at Tangaza University College.
Lucy is passionate about conducting research in education that builds the capacities of school leaders and educators who, in turn, nurture learners that are transformative to self and society.
In 2022, Lucy received an institutional award for her collaborative book project with diverse women faculty under the Doctoral Attaining Women Network (DAWN), domiciled at Tangaza University College.
