At the teacher training level, there is a need for a review of the teacher education curriculum to be more gender-responsive. There is also a need for capacity building of pre-service and in-service teachers to be more gender-responsive in their pedagogical practices. Lastly, deliberate steps should be taken to ensure that all institutions at the basic education level and training are gender inclusive in their practices, guidelines, and programs.
