ABOUT Beatrice Maina

Beatrice Maina works as a research officer in the Population Dynamics and Reproductive Health Unit, managing research projects on gender and sexual and reproductive health. Beatrice has extensive experience in design, implementation and evaluation of sexual and reproductive health research projects in sub-Saharan Africa. Her main research interests are in adolescent sexual and reproductive health and gender issues, particularly among the young adolescents.

Beatrice holds a Master of Arts degree in Population Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Mathematics and Economics) from Kenyatta University. She is also a PhD candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
