Jarim supports the coordination of a Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) funded project, Improving the Management of Cardiometabolic Diseases (CMDs) in Kenya through Research Evidence Generation and Capacity Strengthening. The project is part of the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) program that brings together a strong coalition of public and private organizations in Kenya deeply committed to accelerating pathways to developing effective policies for strengthening CMD pre-service training using research evidence and a system thinking approach.

Previously, Jarim served as the Head of the Community Health Department at Amref International University, where he stabilized the department’s operations and graduated the first MPH class in 2023. He also taught a number of courses (e.g., Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Research Methodology, Primary Health Care, Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, Biochemistry, and Community Health, among others) and supervised master’s students. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) from Moi University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from Kenyatta University.

Jarim’s passion is working with researchers to conceptualize, design, and conduct research that will influence policy and eventually improve lives.

There can be no regrets by telling the truth and fighting for justice.
