ABOUT
Benard Ondiek
Benard has over 10 years of experience in digital learning, curriculum development, training, and information and communication technology. His digital learning experience spans various learning management systems (LMS), including Moodle and Blackboard. He also has extensive experience in student management systems, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, and general ICT infrastructure Management.
He has a PhD in Information Systems from KCA University, a master’s in Information Systems Management, and a bachelor’s in ICT management. Benard currently supports APHRC as the Training Coordinator for the Virtual Learning Academy within the Research and Related Capacity Strengthening division. He spearheads the development of Online and Blended training as part of dissemination for project outcomes. He also supports the development of communities of practice for knowledge creation. Before joining APHRC, he served as the ICT Manager and E-learning Technical Director with PAC University.
His achievements include moving most of the university’s operations online and helping the University build E-learning capacity for 36 Universities across East Africa. He has also spearheaded a project to ensure staff and students transition from face-to-face to online and blended learning.
Benard is results-oriented and a team player.
