ABOUT Stephen Ekiru

Ekiru Stephen has extensive experience in procurement, field coordination, and research management. He currently serves as a Research Officer in the Nutrition and Food System unit, leveraging his expertise to implement research initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and enhance research impact.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) from Kenyatta University. He has extensive experience managing logistics and field operations for health, development, climate, environment, WASH, and nutrition projects at APHRC, ensuring effective implementation in complex settings.

Ekiru is passionate about development and well-being, with an interest in building evidence for policy and practice. He has extensive knowledge in procurement and program implementation and is competent in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
