Diama Diop Dia Djigo
Diama coordinates corporate communications, strategic positioning, and executing all Policy Engagement Communication initiatives at the West Africa Regional Office (WARO). She is a communications specialist with extensive experience in West and Central Africa. She excels at strategic communications, advocacy, influencing, partnership management, geopolitical analysis, external affairs, and media engagement.
She holds a Master’s degree in Geopolitics and International Studies from Reims-Champagne Ardennes University, a Bachelor’s degree in Public Communication and cultural Mediation from de Lorraine University, and two certifications: one in Public Management from the Centre Africain d’Etudes SupĂ©rieures de Gestion (CESAG) and the other from the Executive Development Program at the Institut EuropĂ©en d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD).
Before joining APHRC, Diama held key positions such as Senior Communication Manager at Institut Pasteur de Dakar, Communication, Advocacy & Influencing Manager at Plan International, and Head of Communication, Advocacy & Partnership Unit at the Regional Consortium for Research in Generational Economics (CREG). She has also served as Partner in Public Relations, Communication & Partnerships at Africa Mediation Consulting and in Business Intelligence at Create Value.

Since 2020, she has actively championed education and the retention of girls in school through her role as an Itinerant Mentor, alongside numerous other associative commitments.
