ABOUT Dennis Amollo Akeyo

Dennis Akeyo is a Research Officer at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), working within the Chronic Disease Management Unit. He brings over ten years of experience in conducting epidemiological and public health research, with a strong focus on non-communicable diseases, emerging and re-emerging diseases, and impact evaluation. Dennis holds a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the same institution. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science and Technology from Egerton University. Prior to joining APHRC, he served as a Research Officer at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and Impact Africa, contributing to a wide range of large-scale research initiatives.

He has led multiple research projects, contributed to policy dialogues, and authored peer-reviewed publications in international journals. With strong quantitative and qualitative research skills and proven expertise in project design, implementation, and management, Dennis is committed to advancing evidence-informed public health interventions and improving quality of life across Africa.
