This workshop is part of APHRC’s research capacity building and strengthening program and is designed to increase the capacity of trainers, lecturers, workshop facilitators and consultants in digital technology as a means of content delivery. The workshop will be held on Friday March 212014 at Jacaranda Hotel, Nairobi from 8.30 a.m. to 5p.m.
Topical areas to be covered include:
- Understanding the teaching and training landscape of digital technologies
- Models of effective audio/video production in teaching and learning
- Engaging learners for participatory innovation and impact
- Practical skills in teaching and training through audio/video technology
- Reaching wider audiences through audio/video technology
Sessions will be facilitated by Prof. James R. Carey, a Professor of Entomology at the University of California, Davis who uses digital technology for effective learning and teaching. The workshop attendance fee is KES 20,000 per person. This amount covers registration fee, conference package, handouts and stationery at the workshop venue.
