Tell us a bit about yourself.

Growing up as the third child in a family of four, I have always been the talker. I was that sibling everyone relied on to ask our parents for things on behalf of the rest. I was always ready with something to say, even when it wasn’t expected. Whether arguing with my siblings or sharing stories. This sometimes got me into trouble, but it also shaped me and set me on the path to a career in communications. Beyond my love for good food and fitness, I find joy in discovering new places, especially if there’s a sandy beach involved. Connecting with people, whether face-to-face or on camera, has always felt like second nature to me, and I am grateful that my work as a Communications Officer allows me to channel that passion every day.

What would you say you’re most passionate about?

I am passionate about success in all aspects of life. Whether academic success, career advancement, strong relationships, or personal growth. I am driven to reach my full potential and believe in the power of discipline, hard work, resilience, and supporting others on their own journeys.

You are a YouTuber/Content creator. Where did it all begin, and how’s it going?

I have always had a love for storytelling—a gift I inherited from my late dad. Growing up, he filled our home with laughter, and that love for connecting with people through stories stayed with me. But let me get to how my YouTube channel began!

It all started in late 2018 when I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own company since I had a strong urge to become my own boss. To keep myself motivated, I even bought a copy of Girl Boss! A thought hit me while reading the first chapter: why not document this journey? Initially, I shared my stories on my blog page, but I felt the power of visual storytelling. With a simple phone and a tripod, Christine Ger on YouTube was born. My goal for the channel is to share my story with the world, hoping it inspires someone on their own path.

It has been a while since my last post—life’s been busy, and editing can be time-consuming. But it is not for lack of content! My archive is packed with stories from my recent travels, and I will make time to edit and share them. You might wonder why I don’t just outsource editing, but that is because I love the process; it’s how I refine my skills and connect even more with my content.

So, welcome to my YouTube Family 💕💕Stay tuned—new stories are loading, and I can’t wait to share them!

You bring a lot of enthusiasm to everything you do. How do you maintain such positive energy?

Well, my energy comes from being genuinely self-driven and committed to discipline in everything I do. When you approach tasks with a strong sense of purpose and a positive mindset, it fuels your enthusiasm naturally. Discipline plays a huge role, too—it keeps me focused on my goals and helps me push through even on days when motivation might be lower. Especially with the gym, waking up early every morning is not easy, but the discipline gets me out of bed. I am also a firm believer in the power of positive energy, so I try to cultivate it in myself and share it with others. It is all about bringing my best to whatever I do, and that passion keeps my energy high. #InhaleGoodEnergyOnly

What do you consider your greatest achievement or milestone in your career so far?
Returning to school after a long break and reaching my final year has been a major achievement. It has given me time to reflect on my goals and even start thinking about what I would like to pursue in retirement. Joining APHRC has added even more clarity to this vision, reinforcing my passion for impactful work and helping me see the legacy I want to build.

How do you handle the challenges you encounter in your work?

When I face challenges at work, I take a step back to assess the situation and identify the lessons they present. I view these challenges as opportunities for growth, allowing me to refine my skills and improve my approach. This mindset not only helps me navigate difficulties more effectively but also contributes to my overall development. As someone who embraces risk-taking, I understand that challenges often accompany new ventures. Overcoming challenges is essential for personal and professional growth; without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

You are also a fitness enthusiast; tell us more about it.

When I became my own boss in January 2019, I set up my home office with a clear focus on planning for success. A pivotal part of this journey was embracing the “5 a.m. lifestyle,” which transformed my mornings into a productive and fulfilling time. One of the most effective ways to do this was by joining a gym, which provided the motivation to wake up early and enjoy my mornings. As I immersed myself in this new routine, I discovered that the gym instilled a strong sense of discipline in me. I started prioritizing clean eating, staying hydrated, getting quality sleep, and practicing self-care, which significantly improved my physical and mental well-being. This newfound discipline quickly evolved into a lifestyle that I embraced wholeheartedly.

The consistency I developed has improved my physical health and enhanced my overall well-being. The joy I experience from lifting weights and taking on new challenges at the gym is priceless. Now, fitness is an integral part of who I am, and I can’t imagine my life without it.

What strategies help you thrive in a fast-paced work environment?

I prioritize continuous learning and growth. I am always eager to learn new things and ask questions, no matter how silly they seem. Staying up to date on industry trends is also essential, as it helps me adapt to change and anticipate future challenges. Fortunately, I am surrounded by brilliant and creative colleagues with whom I collaborate, share diverse perspectives, and find innovative ways to carry out our tasks. Coupled with my curiosity and eagerness to learn, this allows me to thrive in even the most demanding work environment.

What’s your mantra in life?
To give 100% in anything that I choose to do or nothing at all.
