  • July 2024

APHRC’s Countdown to 2030 project has published new chartbooks summarizing results for Key Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) indicators in 26 African countries between 2019 and 2023.

Produced by country teams during and after the Countdown analysis workshop in Kigali between April 22 and 26, the chartbooks outline data quality assessment, national coverage of Antenatal Care (ANC), Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH), immunization and family planning, equity, maternal mortality and stillbirth rates, and health services utilization.

The analyses are based on routine district health facility data, recent national surveys, health system data, and global estimates. Within each section, there are selected graphs and tables on key indicators with interpretations made by country teams during the workshop, which will serve as a critical input for national monitoring of RMNCAH+N and health sector plans.
