ABOUT Peter Muriuki Gatheru

Peter works within the Research Capacity Strengthening Division designing, coordinating and delivering capacity building initiatives on research topics in fields such as Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH).

Previously, he worked for six years as a research officer within the Maternal and Child Wellbeing Unit at APHRC, designing and coordinating projects on maternal, newborn and child health and nutrition. He holds a Masters of Global Health Delivery from the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Nairobi.

Peter’s passion is working with health researchers to strenghthen their capacity to conceptualize, design, conduct, and disseminate policy relevant research, eventually positively impacting lives in Africa.
