ABOUT Nelson Kipkoech Langat

Nelson is responsible for data management and analysis in projects within the Maternal and Child Wellbeing Unit. Besides, he participates in designing studies and training of field interviewers. He holds an M.Sc. in Medical Statistics from the University of Nairobi and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Eldoret. Before joining APHRC, he was Masters Fellow at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research program in Kilifi.

 

Nelson is passionate about using quality data to generate evidence for decision making in human health and wellbeing. He draws interest in the analysis of longitudinal data using advanced statistical techniques.

Nelson is a former fellow of the Initiative to Develop African Research Leaders (IDeAL), hosted by the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Program. He worked with seasoned researchers on a project aiming to establish the association between infections of the central nervous system and features of epilepsy in sub-Saharan Africa.
