ABOUT
Moreen Nkonge
Moreen works with the Catalyze Impact through Africa-led Implementation Research Platforms Initiative under the Research and Related Capacity Strengthening theme. She supports policy engagement efforts for accelerated adoption of research innovations in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Ethiopia towards a strengthened research and development ecosystem and, ultimately, policy impact.
In her immediate former role, she worked with the Advocacy Unit under the Policy Engagement and Communication theme, where she oversaw project communication for the National Sanitation Policy Advocacy project, supporting engagements with governments and stakeholders towards improved sanitation policy and practice in line with the Africa Sanitation Policy Guidelines in Kenya, Malawi and Mozambique. She has also handled internal and external communications for the Center, including brand management, content generation and digital media. Previously, she worked in development communication with Mercy Corps and ActionAid International-Kenya.
Moreen is currently keen on policy advocacy for development issues in the region and, more specifically, bridging the gap between policy and practice. She is pursuing a Master of Arts in Development Communication at USIU-Africa and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media from Maseno University.
