ABOUT Mchungwani Saad Rashid

Mchungwani is a research officer in the Human Development Theme, Education, and Youth Empowerment Unit. She is working on projects related to teacher professional development, the education of learners with disabilities, and inclusion. 

She has a master’s degree in project planning & management and a first-class honors degree in Early Childhood Education, both from the University of Nairobi. Previously she worked at EIDU ( a research organization) as a training officer in charge of the Tayari program in four counties in Kenya. She made significant contributions to the development of Tusome early grades teaching and learning resources, which were adopted in the current Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) grade books for English and Kiswahili languages. 

Mchungwani is driven by the pursuit of knowledge. She likes learning new trends, especially in the education sector and derives satisfaction from supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
