Josephat Machuki Nyagero
Josephat Machuki Nyagero holds a PhD in Public Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He has over 20 years of progressive public health experience with various development, academic and research institutions including the National Council for Population and Development, University of Nairobi, Egerton University and the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF). He has worked for AMREF since 1992 starting as a Project Manager for various Population and Reproductive Health programs and later as a Senior Researcher in the Health Program Development Directorate of AMREF. Nyagero is currently the Research Lead for AMREF with the responsibility of providing leadership in the development and implementation of AMREF’s research agenda that leads to a lasting change and improved health of the African people. He has authored ten peer reviewed publications, authored a chapter in a book and 36 major papers and presentations in various meetings and conferences.
