ABOUT Joash Ntenga Moitui

Joash Ntenga Moitui has over a decade of experience in policy engagement, communications, and development consulting. At APHRC, he focuses on connecting research with policy to address Africa’s pressing health and development issues. His work involves forging and sustaining strategic partnerships, developing grant proposals, conducting policy analysis, and ensuring effective knowledge translation.

Joash holds a Master’s in Communication and Public Relations from Robert Gordon University, United Kingdom, and a Master’s in Governance from the Pan African University. He is a PhD Candidate in International Relations at the United States International University – Africa. Before joining APHRC, he was a Lead Communication and Knowledge Manager at the African Development Bank and a research fellow at the Centre for Human Rights and Policy Studies (CHRIPS).

Previously, he has worked with leading global organizations, including the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Carter Center, and has contributed to major publications on public policy, human development, governance, and international development.

Joash is passionate about advocating for human rights, good governance, and freedom of expression. He is dedicated to using research to inform policies that improve lives across Africa.
