Helen Habibata Habib
Helen Habibata Habib is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (SRMNCAH) unit at APHRC.
Dr Habib’s multidisciplinary research focuses on the multi-level determinants of health throughout the life course. Her prior work, which applies mixed-methods approaches, cuts across themes including education, gender, politics, social policy, migration, health and development.
Prior to joining APHRC, Helen was a doctoral fellow of the WHO-HRP Alliance at the programme’s University of Ghana-School of Public Health LID HUB. Her independent doctoral research investigated the drivers & outcomes of adolescent intrapartum mistreatment & developed evidence-based interventions to improve the quality of maternal care for adolescent mothers in Ghana.
A lifelong learner, Helen continually seeks to understand and develop ethical, evidence-based stratégies to achieve equitable, quality healthcare.
