ABOUT Gloria Langat

Gloria Langat is a research scientist with a background in demography and has over 15 years of specialization in ageing/gerontology with a focus on Africa and other lower- and middle-income countries.

Gloria obtained her PhD in Social Statistics and Demography from the University of Southampton and prior to joining APHRC was an Associate Professor of Gerontology at the Centre for Research on Ageing at the University of Southampton. Gloria is an alumnus of the Populations Studies Research Institute at the University of Nairobi and the Sociology Department at Kenyatta University, Kenya.
