ABOUT Kennedy Kamau

Kennedy Kamau is a Data Scientist in the Education and Youth Empowerment (EYE) Unit. He works on data and evidence management, collation, curation, and visualization and maintains the Regional Education Learning Initiative (RELI) Knowledge Hub.

He also supports primary research in EYE by designing data collection tools, analyzing data, and systematically reviewing empirical evidence. After completing a bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics with Computing, he worked as a data analyst in the market research and media industries. He pivoted and completed an MSc in Financial Engineering and a certification in Data Science. Before joining APHRC, he worked as a consultant data scientist for various startups.

Kennedy is driven by the desire to transform data into actionable insights and to connect it to doers through day-to-day engagement.
