Christopher Omumamu Maero
Stakeholder engagement expert with a knack for building and sustaining relationships with partners for shared understanding and eliciting positive impact on livelihoods. He was tasked with developing the Centre’s Policy Engagement and Communication strategy and providing advocacy and communication support to the Catalyze Mental Health Initiative in Sierra Leone and Senegal. He has been involved in developing the communication, advocacy, and knowledge management strategies for DataDENT and Data for Nutrition, which he is now implementing.
He is pursuing his master’s degree in public policy and management and holds a Certificate in Project Management for Global Health from the University of Washington. He has an Undergraduate Communication and Public Relations degree from the Maasai Mara University. He was previously employed as a Communication and Advocacy Officer at the Aga Khan University for the Nurse and Midwife Alliance, a Communication Strategist at Cause Impact Limited, where he had a hand in developing the One Mara Brand Marketing Strategy, EAC Secretariat Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, and IITA’s AFLASAFE KE01 Communication Strategy.
Knowing that his work contributes to the betterment of communities in Kenya and the Sub-Saharan region fuels his drive to continue making a difference.
Extra bells and Whistles: He is left-handed
