ABOUT Assane Diouf

Assane is a Senior Communication Officer who leads the development and implementation of project-related communication strategies within the West Africa Regional Office. He specifically supports all communication and policy engagement efforts for the Countdown to 2030 initiative, focusing on countries in West and Central Africa. Assane ensures the visibility of both national and regional activities, promoting the uptake of evidence to inform health policies and programs in the region.

With 15 years of professional communication experience, Assane is a seasoned specialist who has worked across various sectors, including development, Fintech, and FMCG. Prior to joining APHRC, he served as a Communications Consultant at the UNDP, where he was responsible for developing and implementing a communication strategy to promote the territorialization of the SDGs using the Human Security approach.
