ABOUT Ndèye Awa Fall

Ndèye Awa is a Research Officer at the APHRC West Africa Regional Office where she supports various projects including the Improving Girl’s Education (IGE) and Countdown 2030. Her roles include support in project management, literature review, development of data collection tools, field coordination, project documentation and dissemination. She also supports Countdown multi-country workshops and proposal development for the regional office.

Ndèye Awa holds a Master’s Degree in Health Geography from the Gaston Berger University (Saint-Louis, Senegal) where she is pursing PhD studies in the same field. She joined APHRC in 2019 when the West Africa Regional Office was launched. Prior to joining APHRC, she worked with local NGOs and public health facilities as a technical agent.

Her research interests are in geography and health related issues. She is convinced that Africa’s development could be achieved through solutions based on scientific evidence.

She enjoys taekwondo and jogging and is a volunteer at the Saint-Louis diabetic association.
