ABOUT Winnie Achieng’ Opondo

Winnie is a Program Officer for the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA)-funded project on Challenging the Politics of Social Exclusion (CPSE) and, coordinates activities of the Health and Well-Being theme.

She leads the administration and contributes to the grant and financial administration of the CPSE project as well as the monitoring, evaluation, and learning components. Winnie is also the lead Values Clarification and Attitude Transformation (VCAT) trainer at APHRC.

She previously worked with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) as the Program Coordinator and the Education Development Trust (EDT) as a Regional Program Officer. Her work with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) provided program implementation support and training for community monitors on monitoring and evaluating project activities and beneficiaries.

Winnie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Maseno University and has experience in accounting. She is pursuing a Master of Science in Project Monitoring and Evaluation at Kenyatta University.

Winnie is passionate about helping others and is always ready to identify creative ideas to do so in the most self-effacing way.
