ABOUT Valentine W. Kimiti

Valentine provides program administrative support to the Center’s Data Science Program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Operations Management from South Eastern Kenya University – Main Campus in Kitui County. Before joining APHRC, she served as the Global Field Operations Administrative Officer at PULA Advisors, supporting more than 120 field staff across 14 countries on three continents.

She is most proud of taking on a relatively green role in the
organization and helping set administrative procedures and structure in place, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver the PULA mandate to our commercial and donor partners across 100+ projects.

She is driven by the philosophy of continuous improvement, to get a little better every day. As Will Durant put it, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”

A lesser-known detail about her is that she aspired to be a software engineer. This dream led her to pursue certification in C and C++ programming languages right after her high school studies.
