ABOUT Topistar Karani

Topistar is a Communications Officer supporting the Research and Related Capacity Strengthening (RRCS) Division. At RRCS, she provides core communication support to the division and its various projects. She is pivotal in advancing the division’s visibility and impact by developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives. This role involves creating high-quality content, managing digital platforms, engaging media, and coordinating outreach efforts showcasing key achievements and RRCS programs’ impact.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Daystar University, Kenya, and is pursuing a master’s in communication at St. Paul’s University. Before joining APHRC, she worked at Transform Nations, leading content development for various platforms, organizing and managing events, and developing and implementing communications strategies and plans.
