ABOUT STEPHEN KIMANI WAINAINA

Stephen is a multimedia officer at APHRC, specializing in corporate photography and video documentary production to support research, visibility, and corporate communication efforts. He has contributed to key projects such as the Decolonizing Health podcast, where his skill in crafting impactful visual content has strengthened the Center’s engagement with broader audiences. His photography, storytelling, and visual editing expertise ensure that he consistently delivers high-quality, engaging content across multiple platforms.

His creative journey began at Wedding Film House and Arata Media Solutions, where he developed and refined his photography, videography, and digital storytelling skills. These experiences equipped him with a strong foundation before he joined APHRC as a consultant and later transitioned to a full-time multimedia officer role.

Stephen is pursuing a Diploma in 3D Animation and Film at Shang Tao Media Arts College, deepening his technical expertise and creative vision. Passionate about visual communication and innovation, he continues to expand his craft to meet the evolving needs of modern multimedia storytelling.

Outside of his professional work, Stephen enjoys hiking and outdoor adventures, activities that fuel his creativity and love for exploration.
