SARAH MUNYAO NDONYE
Sarah is a member of the Synergy Unit within the PEC Program, where she supports knowledge translation and research communications to enhance stakeholder engagement and drive policy change. She also contributes to documenting the Signature Issues Approach within the Synergy Unit.
With over a decade of experience, Sarah is a communication specialist focused on strategic communication, knowledge translation, and stakeholder engagement in the research, development, and humanitarian sectors. Her expertise is developing strategies and knowledge products for climate change, food security, natural resource management, intercultural communication, and localization. In her immediate former role, she served as the Advocacy, Communication, and Media Lead for the ASAL Humanitarian Network (AHN), where she was instrumental in coordinating the development and implementation of the network’s advocacy, communication, and media strategies, creating visibility, stakeholder engagement, and action for the 2022/23 drought and flood crisis in the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) of Kenya. Previously, she worked as a part-time lecturer at Daystar University, a communication specialist for ICIPE’s climate change projects, and the BioInnovate Africa Programme, supporting African-based innovations in Eastern Africa.
Sarah holds a Master’s in Development and Corporate Communication and an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Development Communication at Daystar University, focusing on knowledge management and communication in Agriculture Innovation Networks.
