ABOUT JOHNSTONE KIPTUM KOTUT

Kotut is the project lead for the East Africa Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy Framework project at APHRC. He coordinates relevant stakeholders in the development of the regional policy framework.

He is a seasoned policy engagement and advocacy professional with experience working in various INGOs, including the International Rescue Committee and the World Bank. His academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Project Management and a Bachelor’s in Community Development, among other professional qualifications.

Kotut is driven by the need to see policymakers’ decisions informed by research and learnings from program implementation. He is passionate about public engagement and participatory methodologies that ensure that decisions are inclusive and all voices are heard, leaving no one behind.
