Isaiah Akuku
At the Center, Isaiah is involved in data management, contributing to study designs, and applying data and statistical science to analyze data and support research initiatives to improve sexual reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health outcomes.
He holds a BSc from Moi University and an MSc in Medical Statistics from the University of Nairobi. He completed a research mentorship program at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) through the Consortium for National Health Research—a capacity-strengthening initiative with incubation support from Wellcome Trust and the International Development Research Centre. Subsequently, he worked as a graduate fellow at ILRI, focusing on epidemiology research in public and global health, where he developed a strong background in quantitative methods, including modeling, data management, study design, statistical science, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis. His career has also included consulting assignments in evaluations and program reviews across the health, social protection, and livelihood sectors.
