ABOUT Isaac Kisiangani

Isaac is a research officer in the Health and Systems for Health Unit HSH unit. He is currently coordinating the Afya kwa ukoo project activities. The project tests two strategies to promote institutional deliveries and uptake of other maternal and child health services in Garissa sub-County, Kenya. Isaac holds a Masters of Science degree in Public Health and Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Previously, he worked as an Assistant Research Officer at the Centre for Clinical Research (CCR) in KEMRI. Special projects he has participated in include Kenya National Micronutrients Survey (KNMS), INREF, Maternal nutrition (Danone), Iodine exposure and blood pressure study, Stroke study, Cancer registration, and drought response study on people living with HIV.

He has 5 publications – 3 as the lead author and 2 as a co-author. He is a member of Africa Organization in Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC).

Isaac is driven by the need to make a positive change in human life.
