ABOUT Flavian Otieno

Flavian is a data scientist in the Data Science Program (DSP) unit. She provides analytics and evaluation support for big data projects using advanced data science tools. She also contributes to developing ETL processes to facilitate data harmonization within the OMOP Common Data Model framework. Additionally, she has a strong interest in Machine Learning.

She holds an MSc in Statistics and a BSc in Mathematics from Egerton University. Previously, she was a part-time lecturer at Egerton University, teaching Statistics to undergraduate students. Flavian is passionate about uncovering meaningful insights from complex data and transforming raw information into actionable solutions that create real impact.

Flavian is driven by the desire for continuous learning. She thrives in solving challenges that improve decision-making and foster innovation. She is also passionate about empowering young girls.
