Evans Wafula Simiyu
Evans is spearheading knowledge management and learning efforts at the Center as part of the Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning Unit. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the implementation of Knowledge Management and Learning (KML) processes and systems throughout the organization. His primary objective is to optimize the capture, sharing, learning, and preservation of institutional knowledge, ensuring the long-term effectiveness and sustainability of institutional memory.
Evans is a highly qualified professional with a Master’s degree in Information and Knowledge Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT ) and a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from Kenyatta University. Prior to joining APHRC, Evans was the Ag. Manager Knowledge Management Unit and the Assistant Manager Knowledge Management Infrastructure at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). With his academic accomplishments and professional experience, Evans possesses a strong foundation in information and knowledge management. His expertise enables him to effectively handle various responsibilities associated with organizing, preserving, and leveraging knowledge within an organizational context.
