Dorothy is a Program Administrative Officer responsible for organizing and planning meetings and workshop logistics. She handles travel arrangements, hotel reservations, and flight bookings and manages financial and administrative tasks, invoice processing, and budget tracking. She ensures compliance with procurement and monetary policies for projects in the Population Dynamics and Urbanization (PDU) thematic areas.

Dorothy works closely with the finance department to streamline payments and financial reporting for PDU projects and manages project information systems to track key deliverables and outcomes. In addition to her project-specific duties, she supports the overall administration at the Center. She coordinates Center-wide initiatives, manages stakeholder relationships, and contributes to the operational efficiency of the PDU team’s activities. Her collaboration with internal teams and external partners is vital to successfully executing the Center’s goals.

Dorothy holds a degree in Business Administration—purchasing and supplies and has over 7 years of experience as a Program Administrative Officer. Her most recent role was as an administrative assistant at PATH Kenya, where she successfully managed procurement processes, streamlined administrative functions, and implemented automation systems that reduced procurement cycle times and invoice processing by 20%.

She is pursuing an MBA in Strategic Management at Kabarak University. She is driven by the opportunity to create efficient systems that streamline processes, reduce operational costs, and enhance team productivity.
