Diana Munjuri
Diana leads communication activities for the Countdown to 2030 initiative at APHRC, which aims to improve communication strategies for policies, programs, and accountability. She does this in close collaboration with the project team at APHRC, collaborating country teams, and global partners, such as Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Global Financing Facility (GFF), Global Financing Facility (PMNCH), Align MNH, UNICEF, and WHO.
Additionally, she supports a Data Systems project focusing on improving data generation and use at the subnational level in sub-Saharan Africa by documenting its impact and progress through compelling success stories. Diana also collaborates closely with the ME&L unit to document APHRC’s impact success stories and supports the visibility unit with media engagement.
Before joining APHRC, Diana was a communications officer at the Centre for Health Solutions-Kenya. In this role, she spearheaded, among other things, the successful development and implementation of a tuberculosis social and behavior change communication campaign.
She holds a master’s degree in international relations from the USIU-Africa and a bachelor’s in communications from St. Paul’s University. She is a skilled communications professional with experience in developing and implementing communications strategies, social and behavior change campaigns, storytelling, knowledge translation and dissemination, policy advocacy, social media management, website management, media engagement, and stakeholder engagement, among other things.
