ABOUT David Agoye Maloba

Maloba is a Graphic Design Officer at APHRC, where he is responsible for creating original, visually engaging content, including infographics,  icons, slides, digital artworks, posters, flyers, banners, and factsheets to support research and training initiatives. He has contributed to projects like the Virtual Learning Academy, where he has helped design graphics for courses, infographics, interactions, etc. His branding, illustration, course design, and digital content creation expertise have seen him develop visually compelling designs across various platforms.

His journey to becoming a Graphic Design Officer at APHRC began as a graphic design freelancer, where he gained experience in logo creation, vector illustrations, branding, layout design, typography, and file preparation. His freelance role at Kipeto Wind Energy and his work at Hello Creatively and Amaze Africa further refined his skills in corporate branding, social media content creation, and marketing. An internship at APHRC expanded his expertise in course design, visual communication, and content creation, leading to his current role.

Maloba holds a Bachelor of Arts in Design from the University of Nairobi. His immediate previous role was as a graphic design intern in the Virtual Learning Academy Project here at the Center, where he contributed to course design, branding, and visual content creation. His love and passion for art fuel his creativity and dedication to his work in graphic design.

When not immersed in work, Maloba recharges through swimming, a calming escape where clarity flows and ideas quietly surface.
