ABOUT Clifford Simiyu Sichangi

Clifford is a dynamic multimedia communication officer with multilingual proficiency and expertise in crafting impactful content across various media. His skills span developing communication strategies, writing, multimedia design, photography, videography, and social media, enabling him to communicate development initiatives and amplify their reach effectively.

Clifford has created impactful communication products that amplified climate-related initiatives at COP28 and Africa Climate Week under the BUILD Project. His work with the UK Met and Kenya Meteorological Department under the WISER Project expanded digital outreach to over 300,000 coastal residents. He has also planned and executed communication campaigns for high-profile events such as World Urban Forum 9 (UN-Habitat), PAMCA 2022, TEDx, and the RESPEKT Conference. Additionally, Clifford has collaborated with organizations like the Club of Rome, the Embassy of Kenya in Seoul, and IDLO to produce world-class reports, newsletters, and other communication materials.

As a Multimedia Officer within APHRC’s Synergy Unit, Clifford utilizes digital media tools and strategic communication to translate complex research findings into accessible formats. He produces reports, policy briefs, videos, podcasts, and social media content that amplify the Center’s research impact.

He is pursuing a Master’s in Development Communication at Daystar University and a French Diploma at Alliance Française de Nairobi. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphics, Communication, and Advertising from Moi University. Previously, he was a Multimedia Specialist for organizations such as AFIDEP and UN-Habitat, where he led impactful multimedia projects to enhance research visibility.

Clifford is driven by a deep commitment to improving the lives of Africans through evidence-based decision-making and scientific communication.
