ABOUT Clement Oduor

Clement is an early career Global Health researcher with over 15 years of experience in research implementation, stakeholder engagement, and management of large and complex surveys, data quality assessment (DQA), and evaluation of large health intervention programs, including Digital Health Interventions (DHIs). Clement previously worked on the Evaluation of the “In Their Hands” Programme in Kenya, the WHO Abortion Safety Study, and Monitoring the Outcomes of Orphans and Vulnerable Children Programs in Kenya. Clement also worked as a Quality Assurance Advisor in Kenya in the Millennium Village Project (MVP), a 10-year UN-backed integrated rural development project implemented by The Earth Institute at Columbia University in 10 sub-Saharan African countries. Clement is currently leading the implementation of the DT-SELL Project: The Role of Digital Technologies in Streamlining and Enabling Lifelong Learning for Health Providers for Improving Health Outcomes in Kenya” and YMWB Project: Understanding Youth Mental Well-being and Co-creating a Community-based Mental Health Intervention in Korogocho Informal Settlement in Nairobi, Kenya, and coordinating the NIHR-SHINE Project, a multi-country project, that aims to strengthen health systems by addressing community health workers’ mental well-being and agency.

Clement holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and Economics) from Egerton University, Kenya. Clement is a PhD Research candidate in Global Health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), United Kingdom. Clement previously worked with the Center as a Research Officer (2017-2021) and a Field Coordinator (2010-2016) in Africa’s pioneer urban HDSS, the Nairobi Urban Health and Demographic Surveillance System (NUHDSS).

Clement is passionate about learning new skills, taking on challenging tasks, and standing up for the common good. In his current position, he has taken on new responsibilities, engaged with new teams and team members, and continued to earn new skills.
