Brown Bully Ndale Onguko
Brown is a specialist in educational technology. He has experience in design, development, and implementation of research and professional development programs through blended learning; teacher professional development; and use of appropriate technologies in learning including harnessing solar energy to support digital learning in challenging contexts. He is working on setting up an education and technology research program. Brown is currently developing research concepts on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education in Africa; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education and their intersection with gender, basic and higher education.
He holds a PhD in educational technology from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada (2012). He also holds a Master of Science degree in educational and training systems design from the University of Twente, the Netherlands, a Master of Education degree in philosophy of education from Kenyatta University, and a Bachelor’s degree in education from Kenyatta University. Brown previously worked as a senior education program specialist at the Research Triangle Institute (RTI International) in the Tusome early grade literacy program.
Brown is driven by his commitment to serve humanity and his passion to make a difference for African learners, especially those in rural settings.
