ABOUT Vivian Nyakangi

Vivian is a Research Officer in the Population Dynamics and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Unit. Her roles involve the implementation of research projects on comprehensive sexuality education, abortion and adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health, and rights (ASRHR). Vivian has qualitative and quantitative research and analytical expertise through her involvement in literature reviews, supervision of data collection, and report and scientific paper writing. 

Vivian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Nairobi and a post-graduate Diploma in Health Research Methods from Pwani University. She is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Health Economics and Policy at the University of Nairobi.

Prior to joining APHRC, Vivian worked as an intern in the Health Services Research Unit at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) Wellcome Trust Research Program.

Vivian has a strong interest in health systems research and loves taking up new challenges.
