ABOUT Veronica Ntsiea

Veronica Ntsiea holds a PhD from the University of Witwatersrand, a Master of Public Health from the same University and a BSc in Physiotherapy from the Medical University of Southern Africa. She is currently a lecturer at University of the Witwatersrand. Ntsiea is a researcher at the Centre for Health Policy (CHP), a research unit within the School of Public Health at the University of Witwatersrand. She has worked on a multi-country project on the recruitment, motivation and retention of health workers and has been involved in research looking at the state of nursing in South Africa since 2008. She is presently involved in a five-year nursing graduate cohort study aimed at monitoring the characteristics and job choices of nurses over time. Prior to joining CHP, she was a Program Manager at Population Council and a Senior Researcher at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). Prudence has five peer reviewed articles mainly in the field of health policy and systems research. Her research interests are human resources for health and health policy and systems.
