ABOUT Silas Onyango

Silas is a Research Officer in the Health Challenges and Systems program working on early child development projects. He is currently working on PATH-supported Early Childhood Development (ECD) intervention project that is evaluating operational feasibility of integrating ECD services into the health care system in Kenya. The project is being implemented in Siaya county, Kenya.

Silas holds a Master’s degree in early childhood development from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway and a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development from Kenyatta University, Kenya. Prior to joining APHRC, he worked at Free Pentecostal Fellowship in Kenya (FPFK) as a Training Officer in the health department.

Silas is driven by the belief that all human beings irrespective of their cultural orientation, race or economic status can fulfill their potential in dignity and equality and that protecting, promoting and supporting early childhood development through effective research is essential to enable everyone to reach their full human potential.
