ABOUT Lisa Omondi

Lisa is a program administrative assistant in the Research Capacity Strengthening (RCS) Division at APHRC. She is in charge of a range of administrative and capacity building initiatives in the division and coordinates routine brown bag scientific presentations. Lisa also supports the African Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship – a capacity building program that aims to improve the quality of research in Africa for fellows who are within two years of completing their post-graduate studies.

Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Mount Kenya University, Kenya. Prior to joining APHRC, she worked as a training assistant at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology, where she supported the African Regional Postgraduate Programme in Insect Science. She has over 10 years’ experience in programming (logistics) focused on training and scientific capacity building.

In her spare time, she participates in philanthropy activities such as visiting and assisting needy children.
